I currently serve as Councilmember for the City of Lakewood after being selected through an application and interview process in March 2023. I sit on the Public Safety Advisory Board and the Landmarks and Heritage Advisory Board and also am a Council Liaison for the Lakewood Youth Council. 

 

I am also an Engineering Manager and have been with Boeing for 18 years. I graduated from Clover Park High School (1999), received my Associates of Arts and Science from Pierce College (1999, 2003), my BS in Mechanical Engineering from Saint Martin’s University (2005), and my MBA from Seattle University (2007). I am a Co-Director and CFO for the Rachel Lynn Henley Foundation (2016-current), raising money for local kids and young adults with a cancer diagnosis. I am also a proud Eagle Scout (1999) and have a continued love for the outdoors.
 

As a lifelong Lakewood resident, I would be grateful to continue serving as your City Councilmember for the next four years. I will continue to focus on public safety, human services, public spaces, and responsible spending.

 

I’ve helped pass legislation to make our community safer, including criminalizing the possession and use of illegal drugs, prohibiting camping in our parks, and working with state legislators to
give law enforcement the ability to pursue fleeing suspects. I am committed to keeping Lakewood  a safe and welcoming place for all. I will continue advocating for social programs (housing
assistance, mental health support, and other essential services). Everyone deserves a safe and stable place to call home, and I will work to make that a reality for everyone.
 

I love our City's natural beauty and resources. I'll continue to ensure that everyone has access to safe and well-maintained public spaces, including working with Pierce County to reopen our Lakewood Library ASAP. Our City is growing with parks and infrastructure projects everywhere. I'm focused on long-term solutions that benefit our community with efficient, effective, and transparent spending.
